Water Buffalo bulls have tough and thick hides, are heavy boned and can weigh up to 1,000kg's. It is likely the arrow/broad head will deal with some thick ribs before reaching the vitals.
It is imperative that the arrow and broad head combination stay intact throughout impact.
Below are some compound bow guidelines for hunting with us. (For trad bows, please contact email@example.com)
Minimum 70 lbs draw weight
+800 grain total arrow weight
Strong, solid and thick two bladed cut-on-contact broad head. A higher Front-of-centre (FOC) makes a difference in penetration, hence we suggest +200 grain upfront
Your bow must be tuned i.e. field-tips and broad-heads to have same point-of-impact to 40 yards
We do have the following at our camp-site:
EZ Green Bow press
Broad-head target (Rinehart)
Chrony to measure arrow speed
Paper tuning jig
Easton Electronic Draw Scale (handheld)
Serving and Serving Jig
Fletching Jig (Bitzenburger)
German Kinetic broad heads (180 and 210 grain)
Grain Scale for arrow/broad-head weighing
